Carrots and Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!

Being as I do not live within a decent distance of the Coca household this year, I was forced to take matters into my own hands. Corned beef has been cooking in the crock pot just about all day with Mad River Steelhead Pale Ale and I just added the veggies. Then  in a few minutes. I am going to see if one of the children would like to help me make soda bread.

Today I dug out all the carrots from the garden. You remember, the miniature ones. Well some (maybe six or eight) actually made it to medium size.

And here are the rest of them. See what a packet of seeds and 5 months overwintered in the greenhouse will get you. OK, so it is a work in progress.

Hey! People pay a lot of money for carrots like these in fancy French restaurants. Make no mistake, these are gourmet baby carrots people! No snickering allowed. And here they are in the crock pot with the corned beef and red potatoes and onions.

 See….now they are looking better.

I love your sink. Is that a weird thing to compliment you on in a post about carrots?

Jay did good when he picked it out years ago! maybe soon I will take a pic of just the sink. it is photo worthy-after i scrub it with comet and it is in morning light. 🙂
