Today while fishing at the lake…

Jay, “Did you see the osprey?”

My reply, “No. I was stuck in the Bermuda Triangle of children. One can’t tie their fly on the line. One is stuck on a rock out in the lake. And one has their sweatshirt hood caught on a tree branch and couldn’t get loose….all at once.”

RAISING KIDS IS SUCH FUN, DON’T YOU THINK?? YOU CAN ALWAYS DO WHAT PA DID TO ME, AND TIE THEM EACH TO A TREE, FAR ENOUGH APART THAT THEY CAN’T FIGHT.

I know the feeling. I am the one who likes to fish and I had to keep Jim and 3 babies lines with bate untangled and in the water, I never got to put mine in, then clean anything we caught, since Jim didn’t clean fish either. Plus I told the kids we would eat what they caught, so alot of time they would only have a bite after I got them cleaned, but they didn’t care, they caught it, that’s what counted. I soon decided I didn’t like fishing. Camping would be better, wrong, Jim didn’t like camping sooooooo, got everything ready, loaded all, prepared and cooked 3 meals on campfire, dr. scrapes and mosquiotoe bites, brought everything home “wet” , didn’t even see mothernature. But the kids have great memories, so that made it worth it!!!
